Job summary

Arup in Ireland is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its largest Ground Engineering team in the country. You will deliver geotechnical design and analysis for foundations, slopes, and earthworks on major international commissions and significant Irish infrastructure.

The role offers exposure to the full spectrum of Ground Engineering, mentoring opportunities for junior staff, and the chance to place sustainability at the heart of solutions, with collaboration across disciplines and sites

Qualifications

• Honours Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering.
• Post-graduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or Soil Mechanics is an advantage.
• 3+ years of post-graduate experience in geotechnical design and/or construction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical design and analysis for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and earthworks on major international commissions and Irish infrastructure.
• Prepare high-quality design reports, technical specifications, desk studies, and site walkovers for developments.
• Plan, supervise, and interpret ground investigations, providing technical support during construction with site visits.
• Incorporate digital tools, automation, and numerical analysis into projects to enhance delivery.
