Job summary

Marsh in Dublin is expanding its Innovation team to build AI-powered applications, integrations, and automation. You’ll own features end to end, work across Dublin and international teams, and contribute to hackathons and experimentation in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

This mid-level engineer role emphasizes turning ideas into practical AI-enabled solutions, with hands-on engineering, prompt design, and evaluation of AI tools, models, and patterns.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years solid software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering production-grade applications.
• Backend experience with Node.js/NestJS.
• Experience using Python to build AI-powered workflows or integrations.
• Good understanding of APIs and integrating AI into real-world products.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompts, tools and outputs.
• Familiarity with retrieval/pipelines, embeddings.
• Exposure to modern agent patterns and deployment with AWS/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own medium-scale features end to end, from prototyping to production-ready solutions with senior guidance.
• Contribute to design discussions with technical rationale and viable suggestions.
• Build AI-powered and other applications addressing real business problems with measurable value.
• Collaborate with Dublin and international Innovation teams; contribute ideas and initiative.
• Work in an Agile environment, experiment, learn quickly, and observe impact.
• Stay hands-on with latest AI tools and techniques; learn, test, evolve.
• Create reusable components, tools, and patterns for wider team efficiency.
• Share learnings and support juniors through code reviews and pairing.
