Job summary

Marsh invites engineers to join its Innovation team in Dublin. You will own features end-to-end, prototype and productionize AI-powered solutions, and collaborate with Dublin and international teams to deliver real business value.

You’ll contribute to design discussions, experiment with the latest AI tools, and help foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and results in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Solid software engineering experience with delivering features independently (2–5 years).
• Experience contributing to production-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript development and frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Backend experience with Node.js or NestJS.
• Experience using Python to build AI-powered workflows or integrations.
• Strong understanding of APIs and AI integration into real-world products.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, prompt design and tool usage.
• Familiarity with retrieval pipelines, embeddings, and RAG concepts.
• Exposure to agent patterns and multi-step, tool-connected workflows.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes and deployment considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own medium‑scale features and components end to end, from prototyping through to production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to design discussions with technical reasoning and viable suggestions.
• Build AI-powered and traditional applications addressing real business problems with measurable value.
• Collaborate with Dublin and international Innovation teams and contribute ideas.
• Work in an Agile environment, allowing experimentation and rapid learning.
• Stay hands-on with the latest AI tools, models, and techniques with ongoing learning.
• Build and maintain evaluation harnesses and follow best practices in prompt engineering and experimentation.
• Create reusable components, tools, and patterns for the wider team.
• Share learnings and support junior colleagues through code reviews and pairing.
