Job summary

Abconireland is seeking General Operatives to join our production team in Ireland. The role involves rubber lining parts to customer specifications, operating a sandblaster, and painting parts to required standards, while following established procedures.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year in a similar role, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach. Full training will be provided and adherence to PPE and safety rules is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar production / manufacturing operator role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing machinery an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Rubber line parts as per specification.
• Operate the Sandblaster in the correct manner.
• Paint the parts as per specification.
• Operate the machinery in line with operating procedures.
• Liaise with the Supervisor on any quality issues arising.
• Ensure workstations are clean and tidy at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations including PPE.

We are currently hiring General Operatives to join our progressive team. This role is critical in ensuring that parts have been rubber lined to the Customer’s requirements and to the required standard

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• To rubber line the parts as per the specification
• To operate the Sandblaster in the correct manner
• To paint the parts as per the specification
• To operate the machinery in line with operating procedures
• To liaise with the Supervisor on any quality issues that may arise
• Ensure that workstations are kept as clean and tidy as possible
• Compliance with any Health & Safety regulations including wearing the appropriate PPE at all times

Assist with any ad hoc duties as requested by your Supervisor/Line Manager

Key Skills and Competencies:
