Job summary

SAP Landscapes Ltd in Kildare Town is seeking a General Operative to join the Maintenance Landscapes team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). The role involves outdoor, hands-on work with lawn care, pruning, planting and general site maintenance.

The successful candidate will work under the Maintenance Contracts Manager, with opportunities for progression and training, and will enjoy benefits such as annual bonus and pension. PPE is provided and hours are roughly 06:30–16:15 on weekdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping or groundskeeping preferred.
• Valid Safe Pass preferred.
• Provisional or full driving licence preferred.
• B+E licence / Tractor experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim and edge lawns.
• Prune shrubs and hedges; maintain trees.
• Weed control and herbicide application.
• Clear litter and debris; tidy sites.
• Seed and turf lawns; paving or light civil works.
• Plant trees and shrubs; assist in planting.
• Ad hoc duties as required.
• Follow health and safety policies and site rules.

A prestigious client based in Kildare Town is seeking an enthusiastic General Operative to join their Maintenance Landscapes team.

Position: General Operative
Department: Maintenance Landscapes
Reporting to: Maintenance Contracts Manager
Location: Kildare Town
Hours: Part-time – 20 hours per week

The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking and comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on role. A positive attitude, good work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards are essential.

This job description outlines some of the duties and responsibilities that are associated with your role but it is by no means an exhaustive list and may be amended as the management of the company directs. This role will involve the use of machinery and equipment and will include physical exertion (manual handling etc.) on a daily basis.

Duties Include:

• Lawn care – mowing, strimming and edging.
• Shrub and hedge pruning and maintenance.
• Tree maintenance.
• Weed control and herbicide application.
• Litter and debris collection.
• Seeding and turfing of lawns.
• Paving/light civil works.
• Tree and shrub planting.
• Ad hoc duties.

Responsibilities:

• Adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to all aspects of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.
• Adhering to clients site rules and regulations in general and in relation to Health and Safety.
• Follow instructions provided by management and your site Team leader.
• Work as part of a team to ensure quality of work is delivered to an excellent standard.
• Work completed is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.
