Job summary

LauraLynn Ireland's Children’s Hospice is seeking a General Operative - Facilities to support the upkeep and development of the charity’s physical infrastructure. The Facilities Department handles planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, ICT, plant, equipment, grounds and vehicles, as well as household and catering services and on-site meeting spaces.

The role requires Leaving Certificate or equivalent, experience in facilities management, and eligibility to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in facilities/estate management and safe handling of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry tasks.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop LauraLynn's facilities and infrastructure.
  • Assist with household and catering services and manage site meetings/venues.
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, ICT, plant, grounds and vehicles.

Summary of the role

The Facilities Department is responsible for the upkeep and development of the physical infrastructure of LauraLynn. The team manages planned and reactive maintenance to all buildings, ICT, plant, equipment, grounds and vehicles. The Facilities Department is also responsible for household and catering services and manages meeting and conference facilities on site.
