Job summary

Etex Group is seeking General Operatives to join their factory team in Cahir, Ireland. This hands-on role involves assembling structural panels and follows strict health and safety protocols. Ideal candidates should have a Leaving Certificate, strong teamwork skills, and physical fitness. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

Working hours are from Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 5pm, and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm. This is an on-site position with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely.
• Proficient in reading and understanding English.
• A Manual Handling certificate is essential.

We’re looking for five General Operatives to join our growing team at our factory in Cahir, Ireland. Tipperary. This is a hands‑on, physical role where you’ll be working on the factory floor assembling structural panels and insulation systems as part of a close‑knit, supportive team. The role is fully on‑site, and no prior experience is required – full training is provided. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 5pm, and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm, with optional overtime available on Saturdays and bank holidays.

What you’ll do

• Assemble structural panels and insulation systems following technical drawings and work instructions.
• Work across assembly, cassette, insulation, and roll former sections as required.
• Use hand and power tools safely, including rivet guns and drills, in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and complete timing and quality sheets accurately.
• Work closely with your team to maintain clear communication and a smooth production flow.
• Always follow all health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE, and report any hazards, incidents, or machine faults promptly.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in a construction, manufacturing, or workshop environment is an advantage but not required.
