Job summary

Etex in Athy, Ireland, is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to keep production machinery running safely and reliably. The role starts on daywork and moves into a 3 or 4 cycle shift pattern, with shifts between 8 and 12 hours.

There is potential to progress into leading or management roles over time. Key duties include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, following PPM schedules, diagnosing breakdowns, and training apprentices.

Qualifications

  • Completed recognised Mechanical Trades Apprenticeship, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience in manufacturing, ideally in construction materials manufacturing, engineering or heavy maintenance background.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and turning/milling.
  • Trade Qualification is essential.
  • Shift experience with continental/unsociable patterns.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

You will be keeping mechanical equipment running safely and reliably. You will start on daywork before moving into a 3 or 4 cycle shift pattern which includes shifts between 8 and 12 hrs. You will also have an opportunity to progress into a leading or management role over time.

What You'll Do
