Job summary

Fortis Recruitment represents an client requiring a General Operative for Leinster, primarily Dublin. The role involves on-site labour across multiple construction sites, material transport, site setup, and assisting the Site Manager with daily operations.

The position requires at least 3 years on construction sites, strong English, a full clean driver's license, and willingness to work in a physically demanding environment. Training on specific equipment may be offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working on construction sites.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, transporting, cleaning, etc.).
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good communication skills with a strong command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Handle and transport materials to and from the warehouse.
• Arrange and collect deliveries and transport them to sites.
• Transport materials, plant and equipment between sites.
• Use power tools and plant as required.
• Carry out manual labour tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
• Be responsible for organising the servicing of equipment and plant as required.
• Assist with site setup, e.g. erecting Heras fencing and setting up site offices.
• Erect signage as required.
• Set up temporary structures, e.g. mobile towers.
• Carry out general and skilled labouring duties on site.
• Ensure site housekeeping is maintained to a high standard.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Manager, including but not limited to opening and locking sites, controlling site access/log-ins, and coordinating deliveries.
• Carry out site administrative duties as required.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced General Operative to join their Major Works Division.

Role & Responsibilities

The role will involve working on and driving between a variety of construction sites across Leinster, primarily within the Greater Dublin Area.
