Job summary

Avoca seeks a General Ledger Accountant to join the Finance team in a permanent hybrid role. You will manage general ledger, month-end processes, and balance sheet reconciliations while coordinating with retail and e-commerce operations.

The role offers exposure across stock, intercompany, tax compliance, and audit, with three days in the office and two remote. Part-qualified or newly qualified accountants are welcome to apply, with opportunities to develop within Finance.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified, newly qualified or qualified-by-experience accountants welcome.
• Strong Excel proficiency and ability to analyse financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach across teams.
• Experience with retail accounting or ERP systems desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GL records and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end close, VAT and compliance reporting.
• Reconcile retail and online revenue between EPOS, Oracle Cloud and GL.
• Manage intercompany accounting and related FX journals.
• Assist with audit requests and strengthen financial controls.
• Contribute to improving reporting accuracy and insights.
