Job summary

European Data Centre Main Contractor in Dublin is seeking a General Commissioning Manager to lead the full commissioning lifecycle for a major hyperscale data centre project. You will head commissioning across electrical, mechanical, controls, EPMS and BAS systems, ensuring readiness, energisation and client acceptance.

The Company

This specialist data centre main contractor delivers large scale mission critical projects across Ireland and Europe, covering design, construction, MEP installation and commissioning.

They are looking for an experienced General Commissioning Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre development in Dublin, Co Dublin.

The Role: General Commissioning Manager

Reporting to the Campus Commissioning Manager, you will lead the full commissioning lifecycle across electrical, mechanical, controls, EPMS, BAS and life safety systems.

You will take responsibility for commissioning planning, system readiness, energisation, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), phased turnover and final client acceptance.

Must Have Requirements

• Proven commissioning management experience on hyperscale data centre projects
• Strong MEP background across mission critical electrical and mechanical systems
• Proven experience leading Integrated Systems Testing in live or near-live environments
• General Contractor experience on large scale, fast-track data centre projects required

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the overall Project Commissioning Plan
• Lead commissioning across electrical, mechanical, controls, EPMS and BAS systems
• Manage commissioning schedules, readiness milestones and system walkdowns
• Lead IST planning, live testing, load bank testing, black building / black start testing and redundancy validation
• Coordinate MEP subcontractors, vendors, OFCI teams and third-party commissioning agents
• Review commissioning RAMS, energisation plans and testing procedures
• Chair commissioning and readiness meetings with project stakeholders
• Manage commissioning punch lists, defects and non-conformances through closeout
• Oversee test scripts, results, O&M manuals, as-built records and handover documentation
• Support phased turnover, client acceptance and transition to operations

About You

You will be a senior Commissioning Manager with extensive hyperscale data centre experience and a strong technical understanding of mission critical MEP systems.

You will be comfortable leading complex testing and energisation activities while coordinating construction teams, specialist vendors, commissioning agents and client representatives through critical project milestones.
