Job summary

State Street in Ireland seeks an AVP Cloud / Data / AI Solution Architect to design scalable, secure architectures across AWS, data platforms, and AI domains. You will translate business needs into reference designs, roadmaps, and implementation guidance for GenAI, LLMs, and RAG-driven products.

You will partner with engineering, cybersecurity, risk and governance teams, shaping patterns and delivering architecture artifacts such as data flows and sequence views for executive use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and mid-level experience designing or delivering cloud/data/AI solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS architecture concepts and data services.
• Familiar with GenAI, LLM design, RAG, and responsible AI principles.
• Ability to translate requirements into architecture patterns, roadmaps and implementation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures integrating AWS, data platforms, AI capabilities, cybersecurity, and operational workflows.
• Translate business and technical needs into reference designs, roadmaps and implementation guidance.
• Develop GenAI and LLM-enabled approaches including RAG, prompt strategies, knowledge retrieval and AI orchestration.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams on scalable data ingestion, governance and lineage.
• Embed secure-by-design principles and controls across architectures.
• Create architecture artifacts and executive-ready summaries.
• Evaluate options, balance scalability, cost and time-to-value.
• Support delivery teams through design reviews and technical problem solving.
• Contribute to enterprise standards and reusable patterns.
