Job summary

Bank of Ireland's Cloud Centre of Excellence is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to design secure, scalable cloud solutions and drive the AI Platform roadmap as part of our digital transformation.

You will collaborate with AI CoE, partners and delivery teams, translating complex architectural concepts into practical designs, while embedding security by design and optimizing costs across AWS/Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and Azure environments.
• Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to design secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Strong communication for stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud infrastructure and platform solutions that meet business needs while aligning with Bank policies and security standards.
• Provide practical guidance on cloud adoption, supporting teams and partners with solution design and implementation.
• Find opportunities to optimise cost, performance and innovation across our public cloud platforms.
• Communicate architectural designs clearly to both technical and non-technical partners, embedding security by design.
• Create reusable patterns and guardrails to accelerate safe cloud adoption and support the onboarding of new services related to AI.
