Job summary

M&T Bank in Dublin, Ireland seeks an experienced transactions lawyer to negotiate and close deals for Institutional Services clients. You will serve as the client-facing deal manager, coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties to move transactions to closing efficiently.

The role requires a legal background, ability to read and interpret documents, and a minimum of three years' experience in deal closing.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and close transactions in which Wilmington Trust serves in a corporate services provider capacity as well as other complementary roles and products.
• Serve as client-facing centralised deal manager for transactions for internal operational and support groups.
• Meet with clients and attend conferences as deemed appropriate.
• Assist Sales with business development initiatives and coordinate deal structures depending on asset type.
• Serve as internal liaison for all support groups surrounding deal closings.
• Address and escalat client related matters and ensure they are prioritised appropriately and resolved.
• Understand and adhere to Wilmington Trust’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Wilmington Trust’s risk appetite.
• Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
