Job summary

IKEA Galway is seeking a Sales Specialist to help customers design their dream kitchens and wardrobes at our new Planning & Order Point in Galway. You’ll guide sales discussions, support in-store planning, and deliver a great customer experience while working 39 hours per week across day/evening shifts.

Ideal candidates have experience in customer-focused retail, strong computer skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct sales discussions with ease.
• Experience in a customer- and commercial-oriented business with home-life interest.
• Initiative and adaptability; able to solve problems and communicate with customers.
• Skilled in using computer software.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with customers to identify needs and advise on best home solutions.
• Maintain area cleanliness, presentation and easy shopping experience to support sales.
• Plan and design kitchens for up to 2 hours, plus 30–60 minutes for quotes.
• Respond to customer emails and secure payments in store and remotely.
