Job summary

Carne Group in Dublin seeks a funds/financial services lawyer (NQ, up to 1 year PQE) to join the Legal Team. You will assist with regulatory and fund formation, and on-boarding of clients to Carne's ManCo services.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of funds, from UCITS to AIFs, and interaction with key industry players in a dynamic environment. Dublin-based with a commercial focus and opportunities to shape regulatory strategy.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with up to 1 years’ PQE in a similar role, either in private practice or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the business from a legal and regulatory perspective in Ireland
• Advising and assisting on the formation, launch, registration and distribution of various fund structures, both UCITS and AIFs
• Advising and assisting with the on-boarding of new clients including on-boarding to our client's ManCo service offering
• Drafting and negotiating various agreements and fund documentation (Management Company/AIFM and investment management agreements, review of prospectus, trust deeds, administration, custody and distribution agreements)
• Assisting and support the business on Management Company/AIFM legal and regulatory issues and presenting updates internally
• Advise and assist Carne Directors and Conducting Officers; assist with business development and client services
• Liaising with external legal advisers and/or client's counsel
• Assisting with drafting and implementing regulatory documents
• Ad hoc projects as required

What are the minimum requirements for the role?

• Qualified lawyer with up to 1 years’ PQE in a similar role, either in private practice or in-house.
• Experience with and general knowledge of the laws and regulations impacting financial services providers and investment management businesses, preferably including familiarity with UCITS, AIFMD and their related evolving regulatory, compliance and governance environment, covering a variety of fund product types and asset classes
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic business and regulatory environment

What are your responsibilities?

• Drafting and negotiating various agreements and fund documentation (including Management Company/AIFM and investment management agreements, review of prospectus, trust deeds, administration, custody and distribution agreements etc)
• Assisting and support the business generally/Carne´s teams on all Management Company/AIFM legal and regulatory issues and presenting internally on relevant legal and regulatory updates as appropriate
• Advise and assist Carne Directors and Conducting Officers Assist with business development and sales activities and client services teams as required (incl. product development and special project work)
• Liaising with external legal advisers and/or client's counsel
• Assisting with drafting and implementing of regulatory documents
• Ad hoc projects as required
