Job summary

Carne Group in Dublin is seeking an Associate Director - Central Compliance (Funds) to lead the Compliance function for fund products, including AIF and UCITS. The role focuses on designing the Compliance Monitoring Plan, regulatory monitoring, and guiding the team.

You will manage regulatory changes, oversee local and global compliance matters, and report to Boards and committees. The ideal candidate holds a degree with compliance qualifications and has 8+ years in funds compliance with strong

Qualifications

  • University degree (or equivalent qualification) and ideally with the relevant Compliance or legal qualification.
  • Sound grasp of local legal and regulatory framework.
  • Experience of AIF, UCITS and other fund products.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ compliance experience in the funds industry.
  • Ideally Management Company/AIFM and/or MiFID experience.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex issues.
  • Strong ability to evaluate regulations and translate their operational impact.
  • Experience in developing and carrying out a Compliance Monitoring Programme.
  • Team player and team manager with a proactive attitude towards anticipating emerging risks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team meets its operational, strategic, and regulatory targets within agreed timelines
  • Coach and support professional development of team members, monitor individual and team performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Actively participate in designing and executing Carne’s Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP), ensuring our standards remain robust and effective
  • Analyse regulatory matters impacting Carne entities globally, drawing on your understanding of our business and regulatory landscape
  • Lead the regulatory change process, identifying new regulations, reporting to stakeholders, and overseeing implementation within the firm
  • Support local compliance teams with regulatory interactions, using your established relationships and knowledge of internal processes
  • Oversee the effectiveness of systems and controls, policies and procedures in place within the first line (the “business”) and make recommendations on future developments
  • Maintain compliance logs and registers, and ensure the annual staff training program is delivered effectively
  • Prepare periodic reports to local compliance teams, Boards and committees, on compliance issues (CMP, regulatory changes, training, policies)
  • Provide advice and assistance to the business with regulatory matters and in meeting regulatory standards and expectations
  • Prepare relevant management information for presentation to stakeholders and upon request to clients
  • Oversee Carne’s regulatory reporting requirements in multiple global jurisdictions
  • Represent the Compliance function in local or group‑wide working groups and project teams
  • Maintain Compliance Policies across the Carne Group in partnership with local compliance teams
  • Continue to foster a strong compliance culture within Carne
