Job summary

Tyndall National Institute in Dublin invites applications for a fully funded PhD project in integrated sensing and communication for UAV and non-terrestrial networks. The role focuses on developing sensing-aware communications, RF waveform design, and algorithms tested on SDR platforms with field trials.

Successful candidates will work within the Wireless Communications Laboratory, collaborating with partners, publish results, and contribute to high-impact research in next‑gen wireless systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in electrical/electronic engineering, wireless communications, CS, or related field.
• Strong background in at least one of: wireless communications theory, DSP, RF/sensing systems, ML for wireless, UAV systems.
