Blue Forge Recruitment is partnering with a Cork-based supermarket to recruit an experienced Fruit & Veg Chargehand. You will lead the fruit and vegetable section, optimise product presentation and supervise daily operations.

The role requires 1–2 years in a similar setting, strong organisational and communication skills, HACCP knowledge, and the ability to work early mornings and weekends. 42-hour week, salary €36,000–€38,000 DOE.

Competenze

• 1–2 years supervising fruit/veg, fresh produce or retail.
• Good organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of lifting/moving produce.
• Willing to work weekends/early mornings as required.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures.

Mansioni

• Supervise and support daily fruit/veg department activities.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established supermarket chain operating in Cork. Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Fruit & Vegetable Chargehand to join their retail supermarket team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate fresh produce professional with a strong background in supermarket sales, supplier engagement and departmental management. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, freshness and presentation, alongside a solid understanding of stock control, customer demand, waste management and profit and loss margins. With a focus on driving sales, maximising profitability and maintaining strong supplier relationships, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day success of the department, ensuring excellent product availability and outstanding customer service. This store is conveniently located on the commuter belt, approximately 20 minutes from Ballincollig and 30 minutes from Kinsale
