Job summary

Citi is seeking a UI Developer to join Lightspeed in Dublin, working on Angular and React frontends to build dashboards, visualisations and editors for a platform used by thousands of engineers. This hands‑on role emphasises clean coding, collaboration with Product and Design, and responsible use of AI-assisted tooling.

The team operates in a Kanban, CD environment with a hybrid work model. You will contribute to performance, usability and scalability while growing expertise within Citi’s

Qualifications

• Strong frontend/UI development experience in complex codebases.
• Hands-on Angular experience with modern Angular (v18+) and Lightspeed's Angular v21.
• Proficiency in React (v18+), hooks, context and state management.
• Strong TypeScript skills with strict typing.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
• Experience with Git workflows and code reviews.
• Experience writing unit/integration tests (Jest, Karma, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience integrating with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, Codex, Devin, Cursor).
• Understanding of clean code and SOLID principles.
• Comfortable in Kanban, CD, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance and maintain high-quality UI solutions across Lightspeed.
• Develop user-facing features including dashboards, visualisations and editors.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code across frontend apps.
• Diagnose issues with users and engineers to deliver effective solutions.
• Contribute to performance, usability, architecture and code quality.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and test code.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to meet needs.
