Job summary

Centra in Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic Meat Department team member to ensure efficient daily operation and deliver excellent quality products and customer service. The role emphasizes brand-values, high standard merchandising, stock rotation, and collaboration within a fast-paced store team.

Training will be provided, and there is an opportunity to develop product knowledge and contribute ideas to improve department performance.

Qualifications

• Numerical skill required.
• Passion for food and ability to inspire shoppers.

• No previous experience required as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain retail cuts at a high standard in accordance with customer needs.
• Drive sales through ensuring SOPs and store standards are met daily.
• Merchandise and present department to the highest standard.
• Implement planograms correctly.
• Control stock rotation so quality and freshness are maintained; manage waste and shrink.
• Ensure continuous improvement in the Meat Department by staying up to date with new products and initiatives.
• Enhance product knowledge and share ideas, suggestions and builds.
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.

Main purpose of the role: Ensure the Meat Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provide our customers with excellent quality and products and services.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Numerical skill
  
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers
