Job summary

Centra at Dungloe, part of Musgrave, is seeking a Meat Department colleague to ensure efficient operation and to provide customers with high-quality products and service. The role involves merchandising, stock control, and implementing planograms in a busy fresh-food environment.

You will contribute to team goals, support initiatives, and help maintain department standards while engaging with customers and embracing new ways of working. Training may be provided across fresh-food areas as needed.

• Enhance product knowledge and share ideas and information.
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Meat Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provide our customers with excellent quality and products and services.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Numerical skill
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers
• The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment,ability to multi-task under pressure

Main duties:

• Drive sales through ensuring SOPs and store standards are met on a daily basis
• Merchandise and present department to the highest standard
• Implement planograms correctly
• Control stock rotation so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest standard
• Manage waste and shrink in the department
• Ensure continuous improvement in the Meat Department by remaining up to date with new products and initiatives
• Enhance product knowledge by gaining information from a range of sources and share ideas, suggestions and builds
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working

About the locality:
Busy shop based in Dungloe, Co. Donegal: This role will include working with all areas of fresh food which includes Meat, Fish, Deli and Bakery

Experience in working with fresh food would be great, but if you re the right candidate we will facilitate training in all of the above areas.
