Job summary

Barden in Cork is delighted to be working with an established international energy business to hire an FP&A Analyst. This broad, commercial role places you at the centre of planning and performance across wind, solar and storage assets, from development through to operations.

You will turn financial and operational data into insight used by senior management and the board, and collaborate with project, commercial and asset teams across the growing business.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant.
• Background in FP&A, management accounting, commercial finance, audit, or transaction services.
• Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excel.
• Confident explaining the numbers to non-finance stakeholders.
• Energy, infrastructure, or project-based experience is a plus.
• Power BI or ERP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive the budget, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.
• Deliver monthly management reporting with sharp variance commentary.
• Build and improve financial models, cash flow forecasts, and scenarios.
• Challenge assumptions with project, commercial, and asset teams.
• Prepare analysis and materials for senior management and the board.
• Support investment cases, funding analysis, and strategic projects.
