Job summary

Stripe, Dublin-based, is seeking a founding engineering manager to lead a new team building a greenfield product within Stripe. You will define the technical direction, grow the team, and establish a culture of excellence and fast delivery while partnering with Product and other leaders to align with business goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing teams that build and operate full-stack web applications at scale.
• Ability to recruit and build great teams.
• Ability to prioritize competing requirements and stakeholders to iteratively ship new product features.
• User empathy and a customer-centric approach to problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, and manage a team of talented engineers, providing mentorship and support.
• Build the team's culture from the ground up, fostering collaboration and inclusion.
• Partner with Product Management, Design, and other leaders to translate user needs into a technical vision and roadmap.
• Drive execution across the full development lifecycle, upholding quality and reliability.
• Make tradeoffs across short- and long-term roadmaps balancing business priorities and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate internal tooling and differentiated workflows.
