Job summary

Dataminr is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to deploy, build on, and operationalize First Alert inside customer environments across Europe, including defense and NATO-aligned organizations.

You will design data pipelines on Palantir Foundry, create operator-facing applications, and own the solution end-to-end from initial design to field deployment; a strong engineering background and 3+ years of production experience are required, along with NATO Secret clearance eligibility and on-site

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in a technical field such as CS, software engineering, math or physics.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience: data pipelines, ontology, compute modules and apps.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, TS/JS, Bash or Go.
• Experience with Docker/Podman and orchestration tools and solid Linux/networking fundamentals.
• NATO Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• 3+ years of professional software or solutions engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with defense and security customers to scope and design solutions.
• Build and deploy First Alert solutions on Palantir Foundry.
• Integrate real-time intelligence into customer workflows and C2 tooling.
• Create operator-facing widgets and applications.
• Own end-to-end solutions with minimal supervision.
• Debug across infrastructure, networking and application layers in restricted environments.
• Advise customers and relay feedback to Dataminr product.
• Travel to customer sites across Europe 25–75% as needed.
