• 8+ years software engineering experience.
• Experience implementing AI platforms and integrating modern AI capabilities into complex enterprise environments.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into practical technical solutions, from prototyping to production.
• Design scalable software architectures with enterprise data environments, APIs, identity management, security and system integration.
• Strong production engineering principles including reliability, scalability, performance and ongoing operational support.
• Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders, technical teams and senior decision-makers to understand requirements and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and the development of AI-powered applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, modern development practices, CI/CD pipelines and production deployment processes.

Forward Deployed Engineer (Contractor)

Central Dublin (hybrid working)

Initial 6 month contract, strong extension chance

Open to discussing day rates ~€600 - €800 /day

Forward Deployed Engineer to work with a leading technology business gobally known for helping customers solve complex business challenges, enterprise implemenatations and transformations. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software development, AI and business transformation. You will work closely with customer stakeholders to understand their requirements, rapidly develop solutions and take them from initial concept through to production. You will operate in a fast-paced environment where technical versatility, commercial awareness and strong communication skills are essential. The role offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems, experiment with emerging technologies and deliver solutions that have a tangible impact on customer operations.

Desired Skills / Requirements

• 8+ years software engineering experience, with the ability to design, build and deploy production-ready applications and AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience implementing AI platforms and integrating modern AI capabilities into complex enterprise technology environments.
• Ability to take ambiguous business challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions, from initial prototyping through to production deployment.
