Job summary

A global technology company in Ireland is seeking an Application Modernization Engineer to join their Forward Deployed Engineering team. This position involves working with enterprise clients on application modernization, evaluating tools for modernization projects, and contributing to the development of prototypes. The successful candidate should have over 4 years of experience in a relevant role, proficiency in Java or C#, and strong skills in enterprise software architectures. A good understanding of Generative AI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise applications using relational databases.
• Familiarity with common database access patterns.
• Willingness to work on site with customers for 7 days per month.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to customer application modernization initiatives.
• Test drive MongoDB migration products.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams.

Skills

Proficiency in Java or C#

Strong knowledge about enterprise-scale software architectures

Problem-solving skills

Education

4+ years of experience as a field engineer or professional services consultant
