Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an experienced Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our hybrid team in Ireland. You will bridge enterprise client modernization with our product and engineering groups, evaluating and deploying tooling, and driving customer success.

You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Services, develop reusable playbooks, and participate in regional customer engagements across Europe as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as field engineer, consultant, or full stack dev for enterprise clients.
• Proficiency in Java or C#, plus DB access patterns knowledge.
• Strong understanding of enterprise-scale architectures and deployment.
• Experience with relational databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase, PostgreSQL.
• Experience using MongoDB and JSON document models desired.
• Problem solving and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally within Europe for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to customer application modernization initiatives across lifecycle stages.
• Test drive MongoDB migration products and provide feedback to engineering.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence product roadmap.
• Execute POCs, develop tools for customer success, onsite at client locations.
• Maintain deep technical understanding of product line and protocols.
• Work with delivery teams and assist sales in evaluating opportunities.
• Travel to customer sites up to 7 days per month within Europe.
