CREGG Recruitment are seeking Forklift Warehouse Operators for our client in Naas, Co-Kildare. The role includes receiving, handling and dispatching cargo in a safe, efficient manner and ensuring documentation and safety compliance.

Shift options include AM and PM with likely overtime. Counterbalance forklift certification and good English communication are required to meet daily KPIs and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

CREGG Recruitment are currently hiring Forklift Warehouse Operators for our client in Naas, Co-Kildare.

Rate of pay: 14.85 per hour
AM shift: (39Hr Week)

• Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (7am – 3.30pm)
• Tuesday (7am – 2.30pm)
• Friday (8am – 4.30pm)

Rate of pay: 16.33 per hour (includes 10% Shift allowance)
PM shift: (39Hr Week)

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (3pm – 11.30pm)

There may be times where overtime is required.

BRIEF OVERVIEW

You will be required to Receive/Handle/Dispatch, Import/Export/Domestic cargo in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company quality procedures and statutory requirements.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Warehouse Operator will support Warehouse Management in delivering/exceeding contractual customer KPI's within the Cross Dock Area, whilst driving health and safety and best practice within the operational environment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• An advantage if a candidate has previous experience handling International Import/Export/Domestic cargo.
• Ensure cargo conditions are documented on arrival, and any discrepancies are recorded, complete necessary paperwork reporting any damage or discrepancies received in accordance with company policy & procedures.
• Perform visual Inspection/Pre-Operational checks of mechanical handling equipment and report any faults.
• Assess the condition of trailers to be loaded to ensure they are safe and suitable for their purpose.
• Ensure all relevant administration procedures (EG: Unloading/Loading Manifests) are signed off and completed in full – Training will be provided on this.
• Work within Health and Safety regulations as well as within those stated in IMDG/ADR requirements, notify/take action where necessary – Training will be provided on this.
• Fulfil company policy on security and quality. Maintain a good working environment in a safe and tidy manner.
• Always maintain a high standard of responsibility in the warehouse.
• Punctuality.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have Counterbalance, Forklift Certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Attention to detail and accuracy required to carry out daily tasks.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and to meet tight deadlines.
• Be able to meet customer demands and carry out tasks in a timely manner.
