Job summary

Primeline Group is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Driver to support our warehouse and transport operation in Ashbourne, Ireland. You will load, unload and move goods, operate forklift equipment safely and keep loading bays tidy and compliant with site procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication and the ability to work as part of a small, busy team. Prior forklift experience and current training are preferred; a flexible, punctual approach and commitment

THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Driver to support the efficient movement, loading, unloading and storage of goods within our warehouse and transport operation. The successful candidate will operate forklift equipment safely and responsibly, help ensure vehicles are loaded accurately and on time, and maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate forklift trucks safely and in line with site procedures, training and authorisation.

Load and unload vehicles efficiently, checking goods against relevant paperwork and instructions.

Move, stack and store pallets and goods in designated locations while maintaining safe stacking practices.

Pick, stage and organise freight for deliveries, collections and dispatch.

Check quantities, labels, pallet condition and visible damage, reporting any discrepancies promptly.

Support the timely loading of outbound vehicles so drivers can depart according to the transport plan.

Work closely with warehouse staff, transport planners, drivers and supervisors to coordinate workload and priorities.

Use equipment only within its rated capacity and follow pedestrian, traffic-management and exclusion-zone rules.

Complete required equipment checks before use and report defects, damage, near misses and safety concerns immediately.

Keep loading bays, aisles and work areas tidy and free from obstructions.

Follow manual-handling procedures and use suitable equipment or assistance when needed.

Accurately complete relevant stock movement, loading and dispatch records where required.

Help maintain stock accuracy and prevent damage, loss or misplacement of goods.

Carry out other reasonable warehouse or transport duties as required by the supervisor or manager.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Current, appropriate forklift training and authorisation for the equipment being operated; evidence of certification may be required.

Previous forklift or warehouse experience is desirable.

Strong awareness of workplace health and safety and a commitment to following procedures.

Good attention to detail when handling goods, checking paperwork and identifying discrepancies.

Ability to work at pace while maintaining safe working practices and accuracy.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.

Ability to follow instructions, prioritise tasks and work in a busy warehouse or transport environment.

Willingness to report hazards, damaged goods, equipment defects and operational issues promptly.

SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Prevent damage to goods, vehicles, racking and site equipment through careful handling.

Complete pre-use checks and report faults before unsafe equipment is used.

Support accurate and timely loading, unloading and dispatch.

Maintain good housekeeping and comply with site safety procedures at all times.
