Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Foreperson for a Dublin building project. The role can be permanent or a fixed-term contract and requires proven foreperson experience. You will manage daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors and maintain safety and quality on site.

The successful candidate will have curtain wall/steel facade experience, excellent time management, and strong communication skills. Ireland work eligibility and fluent English are essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily and weekly programmes and share programme details with sub-contractors.
• Attend weekly management meetings with the client construction team.
• Maintain the Site Diary and track manpower and site activities.
• Oversee day-to-day site management, focusing on internal works and quality.

We are looking for a Foreperson to join our team on a building project in Dublin. This role is open to both permanent and fixed term contract.

Making Possible

• Implementation of Daily and Weekly Programmes together with the issue of programme detail to sub-contractors.
• Attending weekly Management Team meeting for clients Construction Team.
• Maintaining the Site Diary – recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities.
• Responsible for the day to day managing of the site, particularly internal works.
• Maintain a constant drive to achieve production outputs in order to meet targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Help manage project in line with the agreed production targets.
• Manage the workflow of sub-contractors ensuring they're in line with the programme of works on site.
• Assisting with the control of equipment on site.
• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors.
• Ability to motivate Labourers and sub-contractors.
• Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner.

What do you bring to the role?

• Proven experience in the role of construction site foreperson.
• Experience in working on projects with curtain wall and steel facades.
• Strong time management skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
• Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
