Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland seeks a General Foreperson to lead a civils project in Waterford. You will manage site activities, coordinate subcontractors and ensure production targets are met with quality standards.

The role requires extensive foreman experience on medium to large civil projects, excellent communication, and fluent English. You will be based on site in Waterford with a strong focus on safety and collaborative delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as construction site foreman/foreperson on medium to large civil projects.
• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily and weekly programmes and provide programme detail to subcontractors.
• Attend weekly management team meetings with the client’s construction team.
• Maintain site diary and record manpower and site activities.
• Manage day-to-day site operations and strive to meet production targets.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors to align with works programme.
• Motivate labour and subcontractors and provide leadership to the site team.

Making Possible

• Implementation of Daily and Weekly Programmes together with the issue of programme detail to sub-contractors.
• Attending weekly Management Team meeting for clients Construction Team.
• Maintaining the Site Diary - recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities.
• Responsible for the day to day managing of the site.
• Maintain a constant drive to achieve production outputs in order to meet targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Help manage project in line with the agreed production targets.
• Manage the workflow of sub-contractors ensuring they're in line with the programme of works on site.
• Assisting with the control of equipment on site.
• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors.
• Ability to motivate Labourers and sub-contractors.
• Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner is essential.

What do you bring to the role?

• Extensive experience in the role of construction site foreman / foreperson on medium to large scale construction projects.
• Strong time management skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
• Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
