Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a General Foreperson for a building project in Dublin. The role can be permanent or fixed-term and involves daily site coordination, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

You will implement programmes, manage site diaries, and lead a team to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Fluency in English and eligibility to work in Ireland are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a construction site foreman/foreperson on medium to large-scale projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English and eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily and weekly programmes with subcontractors.
• Attend weekly management meetings with clients Construction Team.
• Maintain the site diary and record manpower for subcontractors.
• Manage day-to-day site operations and drive production targets.

About The Role

We are looking for a General Foreperson to join our team on a building project in Dublin. This role is open to both permanent and fixed term contract.

Making Possible

• Implementation of Daily and Weekly Programmes together with the issue of programme detail to sub-contractors.


• Attending weekly Management Team meeting for clients Construction Team.


• Maintaining the Site Diary – recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities.


• Responsible for the day to day managing of the site.


• Maintain a constant drive to achieve production outputs in order to meet targets while maintaining quality standards.


• Help manage project in line with the agreed production targets.


• Manage the workflow of sub-contractors ensuring they're in line with the programme of works on site.


• Assisting with the control of equipment on site.


• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors.


• Ability to motivate Labourers and sub-contractors.


• Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner.

What do you bring to the role?

• Extensive experience in the role of construction site foreman / foreperson on medium to large scale construction projects.


• Strong time management skills.


• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.


• Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.


• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.


• Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
