Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Dungarvan operates an INAB accredited food microbiology laboratory. The role of Laboratory Technicians is to prepare and analyse customer food samples with emphasis on efficiency, quality and accuracy.

This is a full-time role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday with shifts from 11:45 to 20:00 (Mon-Thu) and 11:30 to 20:00 (Fri). You will follow SOPs, maintain documentation and ensure 17025 compliance, contributing to reliable testing results and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant lab experience in food testing.
• Good communication, spoken and written.
• Organised with planning skills and teamwork.
• Customer oriented with friendly approach.
• Team player in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food samples for analysis.
• Analyse samples following SOPs and quality standards.
• Adhere to 17025 standards and in-house procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and filing.
• Ensure lab stocked with consumables and equipment.
• Keep equipment clean and calibrated as required.
• Provide cover and participate in weekend rota.
• Be flexible to work in different areas of the business.
