Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a microbiologist in food manufacturing or related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods for food safety.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication to report findings and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and specialized microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Monitor and analyze environmental samples within the production facility to detect contamination sources.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Interpret laboratory data and prepare detailed reports for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to develop and implement sanitation and hygiene protocols.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving microbiological issues or product deviations.
  • Stay updated with industry microbiological standards, guidelines, and regulations.
