Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Ireland is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our friendly hotel team. You will receive training through the Dalata Academy and work with experienced colleagues to grow your hospitality skills.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and Operations Manager, you will greet guests by name, upsell, and deliver excellent service in a high-volume setting. We promote from within with development opportunities and staff benefits.

• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, courteous service.
• Know the menu and wine list; make recommendations.
• Upsell and maximise sales where possible.

Your Job

• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Served guests with food and beverage.

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience is essential.
• Flexibility in working hours as the role includes mornings/evenings & weekends
• Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros experience would be preferable.
• Experience in a hotel is preferable.
