Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our friendly hotel team in Ireland. You will receive training through the Dalata Academy to learn important skills and grow with the company.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and Operations Manager, you will greet guests by name, upsell, and deliver friendly, professional service in a high-volume environment. Fluent English and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is essential.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills are required.
• Role requires flexibility to cover mornings/evenings/weekends.
• Experience in a hotel environment is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Regular guests are greeted by name and recognized.
• Knowledgable about food and wine; make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell to maximise sales revenue wherever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Serve guests with food and beverage.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and the Operations Manager, the Food and Beverage Assistant will provide friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

Your Job:

• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Served guests with food and beverage.

What You’ll Need:

• Previous experienceis essential.
• Flexibility in working hours as the role includes mornings/evenings & weekends
• Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros experience would be preferable.
• Experience in a hotel is preferable.
