Job summary

O'Callaghan Collection in Dublin is seeking a motivated Food & Beverage colleague to join our luxury hotels' service team. You will serve a variety of dishes and drinks, ensuring accuracy and high standards in every service.

We value guests-focused hospitality, strong teamwork, and a proactive approach to safety and cleanliness. Flexibility for early starts, late finishes, weekends, and holidays is essential to succeed in a busy city-centre setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a food & beverage hotel environment or related qualification.
• Health and safety awareness in hospitality.
• Superb guest service and excellent people skills.
• Attention to detail in delivering customer care standards.
• Able to work in a team and on own initiative.
• Flexible for early starts, late finishes, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve a variety of food and beverages, including multiple courses, cocktails, beers and wines, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, suggesting drinks, and catering to preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools, glasses, and surfaces for a hygienic environment.
• Monitor and manage bar inventory, restocking and stock levels.
• Adhere to safety and legal regulations to ensure a safe, compliant environment.

Role Information

• Serving of Food and Drinks: Serve a variety of food and beverages, including multiple courses food, cocktails, beers, and wines, while ensuring accuracy and quality in each service.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, suggesting drinks, and catering to individual preferences while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the food and beverage area clean, sanitized, and organized, including the bar tools, glasses, and working surfaces, to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including restocking supplies, placing orders, and keeping track of stock levels to avoid shortages during peak hours.
• Adhering to Safety and Legal Regulations: Follow safety protocols, responsible serving practices, and legal drinking age regulations to ensure a safe and compliant environment for both customers and the establishment.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a food and beverage hotel environment and/or related qualification
• Acknowledge the pivotal purpose of health and safety protocols in a hotel environment.
• Provide a superb guest service and have excellent people skills.
• Excellent attention to detail in delivering customer care standards.
• Be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Be available and flexible for early starts and late finishes, weekends and bank holidays.
