Job summary

Pret A Manger is seeking a Shift Leader - Front of House to supervise a busy cafe, coach the team, and support training pathways while leading by example.

You will manage service speed, follow Pret's 6 Points of Service, MBWA, and ensure food and beverage standards are met, safe and labeled.

This role focuses on profitability through good stock control, merchandising, launches, and marketplace opportunities, with hands-on coaching daily.

• Follow Production Principles putting customers first and never compromising on quality
• Use How to Cards to deliver Pret standards
• Carry out Line Checks and action improvements
• Prevent Made to Sell (MTS) rejects in Langars
• Develop team knowledge about food and coffee quality
• Ensure Barista drinks are prepared by trained staff to a high standard
• Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety standards to keep everyone safe
• Monitor and record all safety checks
• Take immediate corrective action on issues affecting customers or sales
• Keep shop clean, safe and equipment well maintained
• Practice MBWA to monitor standards and see the shop through customers' eyes
• Demonstrate due diligence and elevate quality issues
• Maximise sales, labour efficiency and profit via Forecasting, Rota, Ordering & Production
• Order materials accurately to business needs
• Lead and monitor Mystery Shopper requirements
• Ensure stock control by following 7 Steps of Unaccounted
