Job summary

Kids Inc. in Carrigaline, Ireland, is seeking a Part-Time Special Needs Assistant (SNA) to join our Afterschool services at St Marys NS for the 2026/2027 term. You will provide one-to-one support to a child with additional needs, helping them participate in afterschool activities and complete homework.

This role offers €15.75 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week, typically 20–25 hours. Garda Vetting and references are required; driving licence is an advantage but not

• Previous experience working with children, preferably with additional needs.
• Kind, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and helping them reach their potential.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and reference checks.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Special Needs Assistant (SNA) to join our Afterschool services in St Marys NS, Carrigaline for the 2026/2027 school term.

About The Role

Our Afterschool programme provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging home-from-home environment where children can relax, complete their homework, and take part in a wide range of fun and enriching activities at the end of the school day.

As a Special Needs Assistant, you will provide one-to-one support to a child with additional needs, helping them participate fully in the Afterschool programme while encouraging their independence, confidence, and overall development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing one-to-one support for a child throughout the Afterschool programme
