Macdonald & Company seeks a Senior Commercial Fit-Out Project Manager / Site Manager to lead high-profile Dublin-area projects across offices, industrial facilities and childcare centres. You will own projects from pre-construction through handover, ensuring safety, schedule and quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years’ experience in commercial fit-outs in Ireland, with a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and relevant safety certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager in commercial fit-outs in Ireland.
• Experience delivering corporate offices, industrial spaces, and childcare/educational facilities.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• CSR/Safe Pass, SMSTS/IOSH, and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, services drawings, and contract docs.
• Full clean driver’s license and willingness to travel across Dublin, Kildare and Meath.

Responsibilities

• Site Leadership: oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations with subcontractors and site personnel.
• H&S Management: enforce RAMS, inductions, daily safety briefings and regulatory compliance.
• Programme Delivery: drive construction schedule and milestone tracking to ensure on-time handover.
• Quality Control: apply rigorous QA standards across fit-out environments.
• Stakeholder Management: liaison with clients, architects, consultants and local authorities; lead progress meetings.
• Cost & Commercial Control: monitor expenditures, manage variations, assist with valuations and procurement.

Role Overview

Our client are a leading Irish fit-out Contractor and they are seeking a strong, results-driven Senior Commercial Fit-Out Project Manager / Site Manager to lead an upcoming pipeline of high-profile commercial fit-out projects commencing in late October 2026.

Spanning across Dublin, Kildare, and Meath, this diverse portfolio includes modern office spaces, industrial facilities, and childcare centres. You will take absolute ownership of projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality and finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Leadership: Oversee day-to-day site operations across multiple locations, managing subcontractors, trades, and site personnel to maintain high productivity.
• H&S Management: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations (HSA guidelines), implementing RAMS, inductions, and daily safety briefings.
• Programme Delivery: Drive the construction schedule, tracking milestones and proactively resolving bottlenecks to ensure a late October kickoff translates to an on-time handover.
• Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality assurance standards across specialized fit-out environments—balancing the unique needs of corporate offices, robust industrial spaces, and regulated childcare facilities.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, and local authorities, leading regular progress meetings.
• Cost & Commercial Control: Monitor site expenditure, manage variations, and assist the commercial team with valuations and procurement.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager specializing in commercial fit-outs within Ireland.
• Sector Expertise: Proven track record delivering diverse projects, ideally including corporate offices, industrial/logistical spaces, and educational or childcare facilities.
• Qualifications: Relevant third-level degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related trade background. Valid CSR/Safe Pass, SMSTS/IOSH, and First Aid certifications.
• Technical Acumen: Strong ability to interpret complex architectural and services drawings, M&E specifications, and contract documents.
• Mobility: Full clean driver's license and flexibility to travel across the Dublin, Kildare, and Meath project hubs.
