Job summary

STRIVE Search is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a leading Dublin-based fit-out contractor. You will deliver high-spec commercial office fit-out projects across Dublin and Kildare, overseeing programme, budget, quality and client relationships from pre-construction through to handover.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for on-time delivery of commercial office fit-out projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Manage project programmes and ensure milestones and completion dates are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project teams throughout delivery.
• Plan resources, sequencing and coordination of works.
• Monitor costs, budgets and commercial performance with the commercial team.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure quality, specifications and programme are achieved.
• Manage project documentation, reporting and progress updates.
• Identify risks and implement mitigations to minimise delays and costs.
• Lead regular project meetings and coordinate communications across stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Drive quality and workmanship; manage commissioning, snagging and handover.

Job description

I’m currently working with a leading fit-out contractor that is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team and take responsibility for the delivery of high-spec commercial office fit-out projects across Dublin and Kildare.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial fit-out background, with proven experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will be responsible for the overall delivery of projects, including programme, subcontractor management, commercial performance, quality and client relationships.

The Role

• Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial office fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and completion dates are achieved.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project teams throughout the delivery process.
• Manage project resources, ensuring works are properly planned, sequenced and coordinated.
• Monitor commercial performance, costs and project budgets in conjunction with the commercial team.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, consultants and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure all works are completed to the required quality, specification and programme.
• Manage project documentation, reporting and progress updates.
• Identify potential project risks and implement effective solutions to minimise delays and additional costs.
• Lead regular project meetings and coordinate communication across all project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Drive high standards of quality and workmanship throughout the project.
• Manage the commissioning, snagging and handover process through to successful completion.

Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience within the construction industry, with strong commercial fit-out experience.
• Proven experience working as a Project Manager on commercial office or similar high-spec fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project teams.
• Strong programme management and project planning skills.
• Good commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, costs and project performance.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, specifications and building regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects to tight deadlines.
