Job summary

Cornerstone Ireland, in partnership with a Tier 1 Main Contractor, is recruiting Finishing Supervisors for residential projects in Dublin. The role focuses on overseeing internal and external finishing works across multiple sites, ensuring delivery to high standards, on programme, and compliant with safety and quality requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a carpentry background with trade qualifications and have proven experience managing finishing stages on quality housing or apartment

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Finishing Supervisor or Senior Carpenter on residential projects.
• Main contractor experience; large-scale external/groundworks on various developments.
• Trades background with carpentry emphasis; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finishing trades (carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, final fit-out).
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure safety, on-time completion and quality.
• Carry out snagging inspections and manage snag lists to close-out.
• Coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager, Design teams and subs.
• Monitor progress against programme and report delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain site records, inspections and progress reports.
• Assist with handover and client walkthroughs.

Cornerstone Ireland formerly Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a Tier 1 Main Contractor on the appointment of a number of Finishing Supervisors to work on a range of diverse construction projects.

We have requirements for the below projects:

• Southwest Gate, Dublin 12
• Marmalade Lane, Dublin 16
• Redfordge Road, Blackpool, Cork City

You will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external finishing works, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard, on programme, and in compliance with health & safety and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating all finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works
• Supervise and direct subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
• Ensure all finishes meet quality standards and client expectations
• Carry out snagging inspections, manage snag lists, and ensure timely close-out
• Coordinating with Site Manager, Project Manager, Design teams, and Subcontractors
• Monitor progress against programme and report issues or delays
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and progress reports
• Assist with handover processes, including final inspections and client walkthroughs

What you will need to succeed:

• Proven experience as a Finishing Supervisor or Senior Carpenter on residential construction projects
• Previous main contractor experience; ideally large-scale structural, external, and groundworks on commercial, mixed-use, residential, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects
• Third-level qualification or trades background (excellent knowledge of trades)
