Job summary

O'Neill & Brennan is recruiting a Finishing Foreman for a project in Ratoath, County Meath. You will oversee on-site finishing operations across residential units and common areas, supervise subcontractors, and drive quality to meet programme deadlines.

You'll ensure health and safety compliance, maintain daily site records, and coordinate with the Site Manager and design team to achieve timely, defect-free handover to the client.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher diploma in construction management or equivalent.
• Significant experience on residential/commercial projects.
• Strong carpentry knowledge and trade awareness.
• Solid understanding of latest building regulations and standards.
• Ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site finishing works across residential units and communal areas.

• Conduct regular quality inspections and manage snagging for timely close-out.
• Coordinate finishing activities with Site Manager, project team and subcontractors.

• Coordinate completion, inspection and handover of units to the required standards.
• Support final client inspections and rectify outstanding defects prior to practical completion.

Overview:

O'Neill & Brennen are recruiting a Finishing Foreman on Behalf of our client on a project in Ratoath. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage and coordinate all internal and external finishing works across residential units and communal areas.
• Supervise and direct finishing subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
• Carry out regular quality inspections, identify defects, and manage snagging works to achieve timely close-out.
• Coordinate finishing activities with the Site Manager, Project Manager, design team, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, quality inspections, snag lists, and progress reports.
• Coordinate the completion, inspection, and handover of residential units, ensuring each property is delivered to the required standard.
• Support final client inspections and ensure all outstanding defects are rectified prior to practical completion

What you’ll need:

• Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Construction Management and/ or equivalent trade qualification.
• Significant experience working on residential / commercial projects.
• Excellent knowledge of trades, and in particular, carpentry
• Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
• An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets
