Job summary

O’Neill & Brennan are recruiting a Finishing Foreman for a new housing development in Athlone. You will oversee on-site finishing works, coordinate trades, and ensure works are completed to programme and to required quality standards.

Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, carrying out snagging, monitoring progress, and maintaining health and safety compliance. A background in construction with 3+ years in a supervisory role is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Foreman or Supervisory role.
• Trade background preferably within construction.
• Strong experience in internal finishing works.
• Excellent knowledge of construction trades and finishing processes.
• Experience working on residential or new-build housing developments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, building regulations, and site procedures.
• Ability to achieve demanding programme, quality, and safety targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate finishing trades and subcontractors across the development.
• Supervise and direct subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
• Ensure all finishing works meet the required quality standards.
• Carry out snagging inspections and ensure all snag lists are completed and closed out efficiently.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager, Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress against the programme and identify any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
