We are looking for an experienced Finishing Foreperson to join our team on a construction project based in Youghal, Co. Cork. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the finishing phase of the project, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards, snag‑free, on time, and within budget.
Oversee the finishing stages of the project from first fix through to completion
Deliver high-quality finishes across all elements of the works
Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades on a daily basis
Carry out regular quality inspections and checks
Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
Manage and close out snagging lists
Monitor mock-ups, sample panels, and first‑of‑kind installations
Coordinate trades to ensure works are completed in the correct sequence
Work closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to maintain programme
Support BCAR inspections, handover, and completion processes
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures
Proven experience as a Finishing Foreperson, Finishing Manager, or similar role
Strong knowledge of finishing works and quality control
Carpentry experience or a carpentry background is highly desirable
Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
Strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes
Good understanding of snagging, inspections, ITPs, and handover processes
Good knowledge of health & safety requirements
Strong communication and organisational skills
Experience working on construction projects in Ireland
