Job summary

Duggan Brothers (Contractors) Ltd is recruiting for Finishing Site Manager / Finishing Foreman for projects in Portlaoise & Clonmel. This permanent, full-time role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience on a main contractor and a relevant construction management qualification.

The successful candidate will oversee finishing works, coordinate subcontractors, monitor programmes, maintain safety records, and ensure high quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within construction.
• Experience with an Irish main contractor on general building works is desirable.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management or equivalent discipline.

Position Details

• Reports To: Contracts Director
• Minimum experience required: 5 years

Responsibilities

• Attending daily briefings.
• Overseeing site operations.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and other labour workers.
• Manage plant and labour returns.
• Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site.
• Maintain H&S records.
• Ordering and following up on site material deliveries.
• Liaise with site manager and subcontractor regarding programmes and coordination.
• Implementation of daily and weekly programmes together with the issue of programme detail to sub-contractors.
• Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards.
• Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.
• Attending site meetings as required.
• Maintaining site diary recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities.
• Ensure compliance with Building Standards and DBL Quality Management System.
• Duties and responsibilities may vary and are not limited to those listed above.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Experience with an Irish main contractor on general building works is desirable.
• Candidates with a proven track record of long-term commitment within previous employment.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management or equivalent discipline.
