Job summary

Our Client, a leading Big 4 professional services firm in Dublin, seeks an experienced Tax Partner to lead its Financial Services Tax practice and support growth across Irish and international clients.

Reporting to the Senior Partner, you will drive strategy, mentor high-performing teams, and lead business development activities to expand the firm’s market presence in Funds and Aircraft Leasing.

Qualifications

• A qualified tax professional with 10+ years’ experience in financial services tax, particularly Funds and/or Aircraft Leasing.
• Senior leadership experience at Partner, Director or equivalent level within a Big 4, large accountancy or professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of Irish and international tax legislation affecting financial services organisations.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing tax teams.
• A strong record of business development, client relationship management and revenue growth.
• A commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to develop innovative tax solutions for complex client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Practice Leadership – Lead and develop the Financial Services Tax practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality advice and exceptional client service.
• Business Development – Identify and convert new business opportunities, strengthening the firm’s relationships with leading financial services organisations.
• Client Advisory – Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to high-profile Irish and international clients.
• Market Growth – Develop the firm’s market presence across key areas of financial services, particularly Funds and Aircraft Leasing.
• Team Development – Recruit, mentor and develop tax professionals, building a strong leadership pipeline within the practice.
• Technical Leadership – Monitor Irish and international tax developments and advise clients on their commercial and operational implications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues across Audit, Deals, Consulting and the firm’s international network to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Thought Leadership – Represent the firm at industry events and contribute to publications, market commentary and client-facing initiatives.
