Job summary

Nenagh Financial Services Group is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function, report to the CFO and drive financial performance across the group. This is a senior strategic role in a high-growth environment, with responsibility for governance, controls and multi-entity consolidation.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and Board reporting, support M&A activity, and partner with the senior leadership team to enable strategic decision-making,

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and commercial finance experience.
• Experience operating within a multi-entity or group structure.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning capabilities.
• Experience presenting financial information to Boards and senior leadership teams.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will lead the finance function, drive financial performance and play a key role in supporting the Group's continued growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts and Board reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Manage group consolidations across multiple entities.
• Support M&A activity, including the financial integration of acquired businesses.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Drive improvements in financial reporting, systems, automation and processes.
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership team to support strategic and commercial decision-making.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and commercial finance experience.
• Experience operating within a multi-entity or group structure.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning capabilities.
• Experience presenting financial information to Boards and senior leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop finance teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial skills.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience working within a high-growth or acquisitive organisation.
• Exposure to M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration.
• Experience with Power BI, financial systems transformation and automation.
• Experience developing or managing an FP&A function.
