Job summary

The Anner Hotel in Thurles, Ireland, seeks a Finance Manager to work with the General Manager and senior team to drive financial performance across all departments.

You will lead the monthly close, budgeting, cashflow forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring strict controls and profitability. Hospitality experience is advantageous; ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA qualified with minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
Excellent Excel skills and multi-system experience – Sage, Hotsoft, Procure Wizard and Timepoint.
Previous experience in hospitality is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the General Manager and Senior team to monitor KPIs including wages, GP’s and departmental margins.
Prepare Monthly Management Accounts with P&L, KPI’s, Balance Sheet reconciliation and cashflow forecast.
Lead forecasts for revenue and costs, identify risks and opportunities affecting financial performance.
Prepare costings for Capital projects for Head Office approval.
Monitor internal controls to ensure robustness and reduce leakage.
Maximise profitability through strict controls and input into key strategic decisions.
Manage cashflows to ensure payments align with schedules.
Oversee Income Audit accuracy and leakage prevention.
Prepare ad hoc reports for Management and Head Office.
Assist in annual budgeting and audit preparation.

About The Anner Hotel

Role And Responsibilities

Work closely with the General Manager and the Senior team ensuring all HOD’s are aware of expected KPI’s including wages, GP’S and departmental margins.
Prepare Monthly Management Accounts to strict deadlines which include Profit & Loss, KPI’S, Balance Sheet reconciliation, and Cashflow forecast.
Lead review and update forecasts for both revenue and costs. Identify risks and opportunities that may affect the financial performance of the hotel.
Prepare costings of all Capital projects for approval by Head Office.
Monitor all Group internal controls to ensure they are being maintained and robust.
Maximise profitability of the Hotel through commercial awareness, strict controls and input into key strategic decisions.
Manage Cashflows ensuring bank payments fall within schedule.
Income Audit management ensuring accuracy and no leakage of cash.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for Management and Head office.
Preparation of annual Budgets
Responsible for annual Audit and maintenance of files for Group internal review.

About The Role

Candidate Requirements

ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA qualified with minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
Excellent excel skills, computer literate with multiple systems experience – Sage, Hotsoft, Procure Wizard and Timepoint
Previous experience in hospitality is an advantage
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
Able to coach team members
Well-presented and approachable with impeccable attention to detail essential for this role
